Whipped Cream Ingredients
1 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon confectioners’ sugar (or granulated sugar)
How to Make Whipped Cream
In a large bowl, whip the cream until stiff peaks are just about to form. Gradually beat in the vanilla and sugar until stiff peaks form. Make sure not to overbeat the cream—or it will become lumpy and the consistency of butter. Yields 9 servings.
Recipe Note: For faster results, chill a stainless-steel bowl and the beaters of the electric mixer before whipping.
